Obituary: Grace R. Wolfe-Kirkman

Grace R. Wolfe-Kirkman passed away at 12:30 am on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at the Westview Manor.

Born May 6, 1933, in Corydon, IN, she was the daughter of Harry and Levacy (Crecelius) Feller. She married Glenn W. Wolfe on August 18, 1951, and he preceded her in death on July 5, 1996, she later married William S. Kirkman on March 8, 2004, and he preceded her in death on March 4, 2014. she had worked at Day & Carter Mortuary as a greeter for several years.

She was a member of the Bride of Christ Fellowship and an active member of NARFE. Grace held a fondness for Corydon, IN where she grew up, she always referred to it as “down-home”. She found joy in cooking and baking for her friends and family, she baked cakes for all the special occasions in her family, including the wedding cake for her daughter.

Survivors include one daughter, Karen Dorsett, and her husband Gary of Bedford; a stepdaughter, Rita Kirkman and her husband David Beaver; four grandchildren, Brooke Lipoff and her husband Jason of Louisville, Cari Isom and her husband Jon Carl of Mitchell, Amber Eads, and Jordan Wolfe both of Bedford; 11 great-grandchildren, Norah and Charlotte Isom, Theodore and Winston Lipoff, Bailey Wolfe, Alivia, Levacy, Draven, and Zayden Eads, Gavin Scott Glenn Wolfe, and Daylin Jordan Scott Wolfe; several nieces, nephews, and cousins “down-home”. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Glenn Wolfe, a son Scott Wolfe, and her husband Bill Kirkman, six siblings, Keith Feller, Pauline Hoehn, John Feller, Betty Voyles, Alice Curts, and Lloyd Feller.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at The Bride of Christ Fellowship with Pastor Greg Isom officiating. Burial will follow in the Springville West Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Tuesday. Memorial contributions can be made to the Bride of Christ Fellowship.
