Arnold Lee Harrison, 85, of Bedford, passed away at 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at I.U. Health Hospice House in Bloomington.
Born July 18, 1936, in Jackson County, he was the son of Henry A. and Loyett (Woods) Harrison. He married Vicki Jane Glover on November 15, 1991, and she survives. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and worked for Mitchell & Starks. He attended the Apostolic Faith Assembly in Bedford.
He lived to fish and was an avid crappie and bluegill fisherman. He took so much pleasure in taking his little dog, GiGi on daily trips down to the river.
Survivors include his wife, Vicki, of Bedford; daughters, Christy (Joe) Elam, Amber Johnson, Jaynell (Jeff) Simmons Clark, Pam (Steve) Bays, Melissa McPike, and Pandi (Ali) Salmon; a son, Greg (Mary) Simmons; eleven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a sister, Virginia (Bill) Fish. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Mike Simmons.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 11th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Kenneth Allen officiating.
Burial will follow in White River Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Monday at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
