Text messages from another woman is root cause for domestic altercation that leads to arrest of Mitchell man.

BEDFORD – A Mitchell man was arrested after Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department deputies were called to a domestic fight at 3:47 p.m. Friday at Johnson Christian Village on State Road 158.

Dominic Ewing

When police arrived 28-year-old Dominic Ewing had fled the scene in a white Chrysler 300.

The woman told police Ewing had stopped at her work to pick up the couple’s children. That is when she noticed he had messages from another female on his phone which started a verbal argument.

Suddenly, Ewing pushed her out of the vehicle and onto the ground. The woman had Ewings phone. She ran inside the facility and attempted to call the woman Ewing had been messaging. However, Ewing broke the door open and dragged the woman outside and back into the car. He again pushed her back out of the car and started to drive off but returned and began yelling in the woman’s face.

The woman suffered minor injuries all up and down her arms and hands, and her upper chest but declined medical treatment.

Ewing was located at the 190 block of Kozy Fireplace Road and was detained without incident on a charge of domestic battery in the presence of a child.
