Work resumes next week on State Road 42 project in Mooresville

MORGAN COUNTY– The Indiana Department of Transportation announces State Road 42 will close in Mooresville between Monroe St. and Indiana St. on or after Monday, April 4 through the end of July. The official detour utilizes S.R. 67 and S.R. 39.

The S.R. 42 project was awarded to E&B Paving LLC for $6.5 million. This project will replace the pavement on S.R. 42 from the bridge crossing over the White Lick Creek (West Fork) to the S.R. 42 intersection with S.R. 67.  The drainage will be improved with new storm drainage structures, curbs, and gutters.  New sidewalks will be constructed with ADA-compliant curb ramps throughout the project.  The work is scheduled to be completed in November.
