The Indiana Women’s Affordable Housing Network

INDIANA – The Indiana Women’s Affordable Housing Network (IWAHN) is committed to the empowerment and development of women who work in affordable housing. The organization was manifested shortly after Julia Kaercher learned about the national network while on business in Chicago. She brought the idea back to Indiana and set up a meeting with national leadership. Soon after, the Indiana chapter was established and work began towards the first community service event in 2018.

IWAHN is led by a core group of women (see listing below) who are making a tremendous impact in the industry, one of which is IHCDA’s own Samantha Spergel, Director of Real Estate Strategic Initiatives and Engagement. Samantha has been with IHCDA since January of 2016 and has since been responsible for countless contributions to the agency using her forward-thinking and leadership skills.  It is also no surprise that she has earned the coveted IHCDA Employee of the Year awards twice during her time with us. We are grateful to have Sam on our team and proud to have her representing us through the IWAHN.
