Monroe County CARES releases 2022 grant application

BLOOMINGTON – Monroe County CARES released the 2022 CARES grant application for agencies working to reduce harmful substance use in Monroe County. The grant application, as well as technical assistance materials, are available by contacting CARES coordinator Lisa Meuser at LLMEUSER@me.com.

The grant application is due April 16, 2022, by 5:00 p.m.

The Monroe County CARES Board distributes grants each year to local agencies that work to reduce substance use in the areas of prevention, education, intervention, treatment, and justice.

Funding for the grants comes from the Monroe County Drug-Free Communities Fund, which is comprised of drug and alcohol offender fees collected in Monroe County.

Monroe County CARES is the local coordinating council of the Governor’s Commission for a drug-free Indiana. It was established to coordinate, support, and promote local efforts to prevent and reduce harmful involvement with alcohol and other drugs.
