BEDFORD – The third shift group of Bedford Firefighters, hosted a local Cub Scout Troop for some basic hands-on First-Aid training.

Live-action instruction of checking the airway

They learned the importance of dialing 9-1-1 first to get help on the way, bleeding control, CPR, AED operation, and how to help a choking victim.

The Cub Scout troops did an amazing job practicing their chest compressions with the dummy at the station. No matter the age or size, it’s always important to make sure your little ones know what to do in case of an emergency. Take a second and talk to them about how they can make a difference!
