Bloomington to host Indiana Democrats’ Jobs Tour

BLOOMINGTON — The Indiana Democratic Party will celebrate Hoosier’s economic success all around the state on the Jobs Tour, stopping in Bloomington at 6:30 p.m. on March 8th at Switchyard Brewing Company.

Jon Hooker, a leader of the state party’s labor caucus and a representative of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, and Destiny Scott Wells, Indiana Secretary of State candidate, will be speaking along with other featured guests, including Indiana Democratic Party Deputy Chair for Cities and Towns and Bloomington City Clerk Nicole Bolden and Monroe County Democratic Party Chair David G. Henry.

The Indiana Democratic Party says Indiana’s economic future is bright, and that’s primarily thanks to Democrats. Democrats passed the American Rescue Plan and the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, which will help countless Hoosier families.

“From broadband to bridges, Democrats deliver. We’ve seen the benefits right here in Monroe County, with funding from the American Rescue Plan being used to support initiatives to fight housing insecurity,” said Henry.
