BEDFORD – A Bedford man was arrested on a warrant following a domestic dispute on December 22, 2021.

Daniel Anderson

Police arrested 44-year-old Daniel Anderson on charges of domestic battery and interfering with reporting a crime.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Bedford Police officers were alerted to the crime after a woman came to the police station to file charges against her boyfriend, Daniel Anderson.

The woman told police that Anderson was at her home on December 22 and at around 1 a.m. he received a message from another female.

The woman told police she questioned Anderson about the other woman. Angering him, Anderson threw the woman to the ground and hit her in the face and head with a closed fist. He then grabbed the woman’s phone preventing her from calling the police and exited the residence. A neighbor later found the woman’s phone broken near the residence.

The woman signed a battery affidavit and the information was forwarded to the Lawrence County Prosecutor’s Office and a warrant was issued for Anderson’s arrest.
