LINTON – A Carlisle man was injured in Linton when his 2021 Dodge Charge was struck by a train.
According to a Greene County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Jordon Allor, 23-year-old Matthew Pugh was traveling south on County Road 1375 West near the intersection of County Road 50 N. when his vehicle was struck by a train on the passenger side.
Pugh was transported by ambulance to Greene County General Hospital and then transported by Air Evac 39, to Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis.
The accident remains under investigation.
Assisting at the scene were Greene County Ambulance Service, Air Evac 39, Indiana Rail Road, and Skinner Towing.
