Dive Christian Church collecting items for Mayfield, Kentucky victims

BEDFORD – The missions team at Dive Christian Church is in the process of filling a semitrailer to be taken to those affected by the devastating tornadoes in Mayfield, KY last weekend.

With the help of the community, local churches, and area businesses, Dive Christian Church plans to fill the semitrailer and collect financial donations to aid in the relief efforts.

Dive Christian Church Missions team leader, Brent Steele explained that their ongoing mission efforts allowed their church to have connections in place with organizations that are already making an impact.

They are currently accepting donations of paper products, baby items, canned foods, boxed foods, blankets, tarps, pet food, personal hygiene items as well as NEW clothing and NEW toys that will be given to those affected by the storms.

Items may be dropped off Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at 892 Peerless Rd, Bedford, IN 47421.

The semitrailer will depart on Wednesday, December 29th.  Whenever possible, please donate items in a box, rather than a bag, as it will help with sorting and organizational efforts. Monetary donations will also be accepted and the missions team will make sure that the money is given to the appropriate areas within the communities affected. Make checks payable to Dive Christian Church and indicate “Mayfield Missions” in the memo section. You can mail monetary donations to Dive Christian Church, PO Box 1, Bedford, IN 47421.
