Lee Alan Schmid, 79, of Bedford, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Mitchell Manor.
Born February 3, 1943, in Vancouver, Washington, he was the son of Andrew and Laura (Stoll) Schmid. He married Joanne Dreier on April 11, 1964, and she preceded him in death on June 29, 2004.
Lee retired from Mitchell Brothers Trucking. He made birdhouses and bird feeders and was an avid woodworker. Lee was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his son, Gregory Alan (Amy) Schmid of Bedford; daughter, Tracy (Larry) Weston of Battle Ground, Washington; grandchildren, Shantina (Sam) Fox, Shyann (John) Carter, Shayla (Brandon), Gilmour, and Tyler Schmid; great-grandchildren, Juniper Fox, Max Fox, Benjamin Carter, Olivia Carter, Grace Gilmour, and Scarlett Gilmour
His parents; wife; and siblings, Howard Schmid and Marian Schmid preceded him in death.
Cremation was chosen with burial at a later date in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Vancouver, Washington.
