BLOOMINGTON – IU Health Bloomington and IU Health Paoli Hospital are proud to be recognized by U.S. News & World Report on their list of Best Hospitals for Maternity.
“Our Bloomington and Paoli maternity teams put their hearts into providing the best care for patients and ensuring they are as safe and comfortable as possible,” said IU Health South Central Region President Brian Shockney. “It is wonderful to see them recognized for their efforts.”

“IU Health Paoli Hospital is particularly proud of our maternity services,” said IU Health Paoli Hospital President Larry Bailey. “We are a small team, and we work very hard to make every person’s maternity experience here a positive one.”
These IU Health facilities were two of the three Indiana hospitals on the Best Hospitals for Maternity list, out of 2,700 hospitals nationwide that offer maternity services.
“This recognition shows that our efforts to reduce newborn complications are working,” said Shockney. “We’re also here to care for the complicated cases through our level three neonatal intensive care unit at IU Health Bloomington so families can stay close to their infants, even when they need more acute care.”
