INDIANA – The project team has many reasons to be thankful this year. We’re thankful for the men and women who are helping keep the I-69 Finish Line project on track.
Officials want to thank drivers for their patience and for slowing down in work zones.
Officials are also looking ahead with anticipation to the week after Thanksgiving. Crews expect to shift State Road 37 northbound traffic across the center median north of the Egbert Road overpass. S.R. 37 will remain two lanes (one in each direction) for local traffic between Martinsville and S.R. 144.
Shortly after S.R. 37 traffic is shifted, the new I-69 Henderson Ford Road interchange will open fully in both directions. Drivers on both S.R. 37 and Henderson Ford Road should stay alert as traffic adjusts to the new entrance and exit ramps.
After the Henderson Ford Road interchange opens to traffic, Ennis Road access to S.R. 37 will close permanently and the temporary traffic signal will be removed.

Road and bridgework will pause on Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Thanksgiving travelers should expect delays for ongoing I-69 construction in Martinsville and plan extra travel time on Wednesday and this weekend.
Watch for changing access to the south end of the Artesian Square shopping center anchored by Rural King and Kroger. Road crews are paving Ohio Street near the new I-69 interchange.
Bluffdale Road access to S.R. 37 is expected to close as early as today near Angel Animal Hospital. Access Bluff Road and Bluffdale Drive from Fairview Road to the north. Click here to view a map of the new access road to Bluffdale Drive.
A new frontage road east of S.R. 37 is expected to open next week north of County Road 144. Click here to see a map of how it will connect with the section already open between Travis Road and Stones Crossing Road. Watch for resurfacing work where the new road meets the existing one near Jay Dee Lane.
Water service was switched last week to the new utility lines installed along Old S.R. 37 and Travis Road. Paving crews are resurfacing, where needed, following the installation.
Bridge crews expect to pour the concrete later this week for the Keystone Avenue bridge deck over I-465. Follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for traffic updates on any nighttime lane closures.
Nighttime lane closures and 20-minute traffic stoppages continue for temporary paving between Edgewood Avenue and Belmont Avenue and bridgework near Southport Road.
The connector road west of S.R. 37 from Wicker Road to Glenns Valley Lane is scheduled to open next week. The S.R. 37 intersection near Glenns Valley Church will close permanently after the new road opens.
The actual starting date and duration for work and any closures may be adjusted if inclement weather or other unforeseen activities occur.
