Stuff A Bus event is Saturday

BEDFORD – On Saturday, Nov. 20th “Stuff A Bus” will be held at Jay-C Plus Store located on West 16th Street from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. in front of the store, presented to you by Rogers Group, along with 1340 AM WBIW, 105.5 FM WQRK and 102.5 Litefm WPHZ radio stations.

“Stuff A Bus” is held annually to help restock L.I.F.E. Food Pantry shelves in Lawrence County.

The hosting crew of 1340 AM WBIW, Southern Indiana Classic Hits 105.5 WQRK, and Litefm 102.5 will be at the store gathering donations. The LIFE Donation truck will be parked in front of the store ready to be filled with donations.

L.I.F.E. Food Pantry is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization that was started in 1987.  It is a cooperative ministry supported by more than 40 churches throughout Lawrence County.  L.I.F.E. Food Pantry provides emergency food assistance every 30 days and emergency rent or mortgage/utility assistance. In addition, L.I.F.E. sponsors “Life Blessings” in which each student is given a bag of nutritional food on Fridays to take home to help with food insecurity. The pantry provides an average of 12,000 items each month to families in need, living in Lawrence County.

Those wishing to take part in this year’s event are asked to “Stuff A Bus” with food items, personal care products, and cleaning products are in high demand this year.

  • spaghetti and sauce
  • mac and cheese
  • ramen noodles
  • canned soups
  • saltine crackers
  • peanut butter and jelly
  • cereal
  • juice
  • canned fruit
  • dried beans
  • cornbread mix
  • loaf bread
  • hot dog buns
  • hamburger buns
  • dish soap
  • all-purpose cleaners
  • toilet paper
  • deodorant
  • body soap
  • laundry soap
  • shampoo
  • diapers
  • toothpaste

L.I.F.E. Food Pantry will also accept perishable food items as well.
