“Our goal is to recognize and honor the teaching and learning that is happening every day throughout our school system,” said Petty. “We are thrilled to connect listeners to the voices and stories of our district as they hear first-hand from teachers, principals, directors, and students.”

New episodes will be released on Thursdays and will feature a special guest each episode. The first guest, Maggie Dainton, discussed her roles and responsibilities as the Director of Learning at NLCS. She also spoke about her favorite aspects of her job which include the opportunity to visit all schools throughout NLCS and build relationships with the staff, teachers, and students.

“There is always room to improve communication between NLCS and our community,” said David Vanlandingham, NLCS AV/Media & Communications Coordinator and editor of North Lawrence Connection. “It’s our hope that this podcast will be yet another communication tool for our parents, staff, and community members to hear real people talking about real, relevant topics and celebrate the great things taking place at NLCS.”
