Bedford Housing Authority meeting provides updates to properties

BEDFORD – During the Bedford Housing Authority meeting Thursday, Executive Director Bobbie Ames shared building updates to Hamilton Courts and the Hauck House Commons.

Building 13 at Hamilton Courts is in need of repairs due to the main structural beam failing underneath the building. Director Ames had fielded multiple bids from other businesses before choosing Walter Construction for the repairs and structural issues at a cost of $3,800. The Board of Commissioners approved the request.

The housing authority is also in the process of replacing all of the water heaters at Hamilton Courts and will continue through the end of the month. The roof at the Hauck House Commons was also fixed and updated to avoid any leaks or issues with the upcoming winter months.

Ames also mentioned the need for replacing the fire hoses in the stairwells at Hauck House which will cost $3,800 to replace.

The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, December 16th at 1:30 p.m. at the Hauck House Commons at 1305 K Street in Bedford.
