Geraldine June Johnson, 84, of Bedford, passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021, at her residence.
Born January 8, 1937, she was the daughter of Ailais and Pearl Craig. She married Robert Wayne Johnson and he preceded her in death on August 7, 2012. Geraldine was retired from G.E. in Bloomington after 20 years of employment and had also worked and M. Fine and Sons in Bedford. She attended Fayetteville High School and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving Geraldine is her daughter, Sherry Spires; two grandsons Robert (Cindy) Summitt and Cody (Megan) Spires; two great-grandchildren, Jaylyn and Kaidyn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; two sisters, Pauline and Kathleen; three brothers, Lester, Ailais Jr., and John.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of
Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford with cremation to follow. No funeral services are planned.
