Oolitic Town Council approves revenue bonds for digital water meters

OOLITIC – In a special meeting Tuesday, the Council met to approve the revenue bonds used to purchase upgraded water meters for the Town of Oolitic.

In September, the Town requested a grant of $140,000 to acquire new digital water meters to better react to storm water issues that may arise. The new meters will prevent human errors, take less labor hours, and notify town of water leaks quickly.

The council unanimously voted to approve the use of the revenue bonds for the water meters.
