2,062 new COVID-19 cases; 20 more deaths

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana State Department of Health released updated COVID-19 data Thursday

ISDH says 2,062 more Hoosiers have tested positive for COVID-19; those tests were recorded between Oct. 26 and Oct. 27.

A total of 1,014,722 Hoosiers have tested positive for COVID-19 since March 2020.

The ISDH coronavirus dashboard reported 20 new deaths from COVID-19 in Indiana from Sept. 23 to Oct. 27.

A total of 16,117 Hoosiers have died from COVID-19. Another 549 “probable” deaths have occurred but a positive test is not on record.

The 7-day positivity rate for unique individuals stands at 15.4%. The 7-day positivity rate for all tests is 7.5%.

A total of 14,433,804 tests have been administered to 4,348,983 Hoosiers.

There are currently 1,324 Hoosiers hospitalized with COVID-19.

According to the Center for Systems Science and Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, there have been more than 245,386,000 confirmed cases worldwide and more than 4,978,000 deaths.
