LCIS School Board announces new Board Secretary

FAYETTEVILLE – During the monthly school board meeting Thursday night, President Trisha Turner announced the appointing of a new secretary following the resignation of two board members.

Holly Arnold and Jami Hardin submitted their resignations on October 1, 2021 stating it was the right time for them to step away.

Board member Jason Lyons was serving as the interim secretary following the resignation of Holly Arnold. However, the board prioritized with urgency to have a permanent secretary in place. Lyons was accepted unanimously by the board to fulfill the permanent secretary’s role.

According to President Trisha Turner, the board must operate with 5-9 board members and will continue to serve with the remaining seven members, as they feel they will be able to manage the necessary changes and potential issues that may arise for the school overall.
