TASWELL – On October 29, 2021, alpaca farm and processing mill owners Ty and Lindsey Higgins will welcome Indiana’s Lieutenant Governor Suzanne Crouch to their farm for a tour of the facility and an overview of the variety of business revenue streams they offer.
During her time there, she will learn more about these inquisitive, unique animals, the luxury fiber they produce, and why the alpaca business is perfect for environmentally conscious individuals. In addition, she will see their retail footprint, offering handmade alpaca fiber goods including their quality socks, scarves, and handbags.
As a member of the Hometown Heroes program within Indiana Grown, Ty and Lindsey has built a robust agricultural tourism destination with the opportunity for visitors from Harvest Hosts, HipCamp, Airbnb Experiences, and local attractions to meet and greet with their beautiful herd and purchase their goods. They are excited to welcome Lt. Governor Crouch as they share their vision for a bright future of further economic development in Crawford County.
