Toby Cotton Pace, 45, of Bedford, passed away Friday, October 15, 2021, as a result of a tragic accident in Raceland, Louisiana.
He was born September 25, 1976, in Bedford, to Danny and Claudia (McDonald) Pace. Toby graduated from Bedford-North Lawrence High School where he was on the Cross-Country Team, advancing to the State Finals four years in a row. He loved fishing and playing poker, however, his greatest love in life was for his daughter, Taylor. He was an avid I.U. fan and hated cold weather. He was a self-employed carpenter and had gone to Florida and Louisiana to help repair damages from recent hurricanes.
Surviving to cherish Toby’s memory is his mother, Claudia (Jack) Jean of Bedford; his father, Danny (Carla) Pace of Bedford; daughter, Taylor Pace of Bedford; stepson, Braxton Martin of Bedford; sister, Teressa (Rich) Amburgey of Bedford; four brothers, Daniel Pace of Edinburg, Matthew Pace of Jeffersonville, Josh (Jossi) Pace of Bedford, and Justin (Kelsey) Pace of Bedford; and several aunts; uncles; cousins; nieces; and nephews.
Toby was preceded in death by his grandparents.
A memorial service for Toby will be held at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 21, 2021, at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford. Friends may be received from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, also at Ferguson-Lee Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family for unexpected funeral costs.
