New materials available for FDA Food Safety Summit on E-Commerce

The FDA has made new materials available for those who have registered and those interested in registering for the FDA New Era of Smarter Food Safety Summit on E-Commerce: Ensuring the Safety of Foods Ordered Online and Delivered Directly to Consumers.

This summit will take place virtually from October 19-21, 2021. It is designed to help the agency improve its understanding of how human and animal foods are sold through Business to Consumer (or B2C for short) e-commerce models across the U.S. and globally.

The new materials posted on the New Era of Smarter Food Safety Summit on E-Commerce page include:

  • An agenda for each day of the summit;
  • Background material that provides an overview of the meeting and the issues that will be discussed; and
  • Information on how to register to comment. Public comments can be submitted electronically to regulations.gov through November 20, 2021.

There is no cost to attend the summit, but registration is required. Register for this event online.
