The Jail Executive Institute (JEI) is a cooperative venture between the American Jail Association (AJA) and the University of Nebraska at Omaha’s (UNO) School of Criminology and Criminal Justice and is designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of jail executives and/or those involved with executive-level policy, operations, budget, and human resource/disciplinary decisions.

“Being second in command of the department, the chief deputy provides input to policies and decisions affecting the
operations of the department,” said Chief Deputy Taylor. “Knowledge gained from this class will be utilized to better serve the needs of both the jail division and ultimately, the citizens of Lawrence County.”
