Mitchell man arrested on numerous charges

MITCHELL – A Mitchell man was arrested on additional charges on Friday when Mitchell Police officers served an arrested warrant on 42-year-old Darick Reynolds.

Reynolds was wanted on a warrant stemming from an incident on August 27th on charges of stalking, intimidation, criminal mischief, and criminal trespassing after harassing a female.

While an officer was driving on Rabbitsville Road the officer observed Reynolds’ vehicle. The officer followed the vehicle to Reynolds’ home in the 1130 block of North 8th Street in Mitchell. Reynolds then left his home in his vehicle and was stopped on East Hancock Avenue.

During an inventory of the vehicle officers found Narcan and the sum of $3,500 rolled up with a rubber band.

Reynolds told the officers the money was “his life savings” and he kept it in his tool bag for safekeeping.

The officer also discovered a total of 18 dab pens that contained THC wax.

Reynolds was arrested on new charges of dealing in a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.
