OOLITIC – The location for the Oolitic Town Council meeting on Wednesday, September 8 at 6:00 p.m. has been relocated to the Oolitic Fire Station located at 15 Hoosier Avenue.
The meeting is in regards to the use of the building located at 602 Hoosier Avenue.
On Monday, August 30th, Michael Coryea, explained to the Oolitic Town Council that he plans to purchase the building and transform the property into living quarters for short-stay residents who have been in addiction or mental health treatment. A house monitor will be on duty 24 hours. Coryea told the council he hopes to purchase the property in November.
The Town officials requested a written plan for the property and will then discuss the request before voting on final approval.
