Little by little, BPD continues to remove meth off our streets

BEDFORD – A Bedford man was arrested Tuesday after Bedford police stopped a vehicle for speeding on 29th Street.

Troy Simpson

The driver of the vehicle, 23-year-old Troy Simpson, stopped his vehicle at the Southview Terrace Apartment Complex.

The officer said Simpson appeared nervous. Simpson denied consent to search his vehicle. Canine Zazu alerted officers to possible drugs in the vehicle.

During the search, officers found a plastic baggie in Simpson’s wallet that contained crystal meth.

Simpson was arrested on a charge of possession of meth.
