Due to COVID-19 the Bloomington Common Council may cancel today’s meeting on proposed annexation and hold Zoom meeting Thursday

BLOOMINGTON – A special session of the Bloomington Common Council is scheduled to convene today at 3 p.m. for the purpose of holding a public hearing on proposed annexations.

Due to concerns related to COVID-19 and the possible public health impacts of hosting a large crowd of people in City Hall, the Council may consider a motion at the start of today’s meeting to recess and reconvene the meeting electronically on Zoom at 4:00 p.m., August 4.

If such a motion is adopted, all interested members of the public will be able to attend and comment by joining the electronic Zoom meeting.

The Council thanks the public for its patience as it considers how best to consider this important public issue in the safest possible manner.
