BEDFORD – Apply now to join the next class of Leadership Lawrence County (LLC).
First started in 1986, LLC is a well-respected program focused on encouraging civic engagement and building leaders in our community.
Applications are due September 10th.
Participants gain leadership skills and capabilities, develop professionalism, and engage in the public policy process through the class’s focus on the topics of tourism development, non-profit & philanthropy, economic development, local government, state government, small business development, and professional development.
Leadership Lawrence County meets one day a month from September to May, with each class focused on a different theme. By designing monthly meetings centered on these aspects in Lawrence County, LLC encourages commitment and action in our community.
Participants will have the opportunity to go to the State House to speak with representatives, meet with local government officials and business owners, learn about local non-profits, and grow as a citizen of Lawrence County.
Registration for this class costs $325, which covers meals and transportation.
