Bloomfield woman pleads guilty in connection to the insurrection of US Capitol building

BLOOMFIELD – A Bloomfield woman has pleaded guilty in connection to the insurrection of the US Capitol building.
52-year-old Dona Sue Bissey pled guilty on Monday.

According to the FBI, Bissey was arrested on Wednesday, February 24th on charges of knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority and violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds on January 6th.

According to federal court documents Bissey posted on Facebook they were inside the Capitol on Jan. 6. Bissey posted it was “the most exciting day of my life.”

Bissey has agreed to pay $500 for damages at the building.

The judge has set her sentencing date for October 12, 2021.
