B-Town Summer Challenge announced

BLOOMINGTON – Visit Bloomington is kicking off the 2nd Annual B-Town Summer Challenge – a community game with weekly prizes intended to encourage residents to explore the area and support local businesses and attractions throughout Monroe County.

The Challenge starts Friday, July 9, and ends at 11:59 p.m. Sunday, August 8.  Dozens of prizes will be awarded throughout the summer on Fridays, beginning July 16. Three grand prize winners will be drawn on Monday, August 9, each receiving Bloomington staycations.

Participants will download the B-Town Summer Challenge checklist, complete as many of the 36 unique activities as they wish, and post their best photo documenting their participation for each activity they complete on Instagram with #BTownChallenge. Each photo shared counts as one entry for the week’s prizes and one entry for the Challenge’s grand prizes. The relaxed Bloomington summer marks the perfect time to explore our community in new ways. Activities in the Challenge include arts & culture, entertainment, outdoors, shopping, Indiana University, and of course food.

“The Challenge is a fantastic way for residents to explore Monroe County like a visitor. Enjoy the summer days by completing a variety of activities either by yourself or with friends and family,” said Erin White, of Visit Bloomington. ” The weekly prizes are great but the real excitement is the chance players have to win robust grand prizes – three unique Bloomington staycations, compliments of Courtyard by Marriott, Hilton Garden Inn, and Graduate Bloomington hotels.”
