Bloomington Community Farmers’ Market open Saturday

BLOOMINGTON – The Bloomington Community Farmers’ Market will be open Saturday at the Showers Common area from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Vendors are currently featuring a beautiful array of fresh flowers and as well as multiple varieties of vegetable and other delicious treats.

Chances are you’ve seen them around town. Charlie and Joe, two of Bloomington’s iconic figures, timed their grand entrance into the market just as the sun was peeking out. Macaws are perhaps the most easily recognizable birds in the parrot family. Colorful and entertaining, these birds have been kept as pets for hundreds of years. On occasion, you can catch this dynamic duo at both the Saturday and Tuesday Farmers’ Markets.
