Melody K. Pemberton, 60, of Bedford, passed away Thursday, May 20, 2021, following a motorcycle accident.
Melody was born July 21, 1960, in Terre Haute to Virgil and Anita Alkire. She married Randy Pemberton on Feb. 13, 1988, and he survives.
Melody was a CNA and Home Health Care Worker. She had attended River’s Edge Church and loved riding motorcycles with her husband and friends. She spent a lot of time with her best friend, Sandy Elliott, and Robert Prow.
Surviving to cherish Melody’s memory are her husband, Randy; four children, Shelly Dan, Michelle Grace, Wendy Krause, and Michael Blunk; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren; one brother, Steve Alkire; and three sisters, Tina, Diane, and Tammy.
Preceding Melody in death were her parents; and one brother, Jeff.
Cremation was chosen and there will be no services.
Melody’s care has been entrusted to the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford.
