BEDFORD – The annual 5K Run/Walk for a Fun Day at Bedford Middle School was held Friday. The event has been a tradition for the school for more than 14 years.
This year, those who wanted to walk or run traveled the Milwaukee Trail to the Parkview track. Some of the BMS students were joined by Parkview Elementary School students who cheered on BMS students during the event.
“We have six different groups who started off at 14th and N Ssreets, starting off with the 8th graders,” said Wayne Higgs PE teacher at Bedford Middle School.
The event is a fun way for students to end a long year of classroom work and celebrate their accomplishments.
Neighbors in the area cooperate with the school so they could have a fun event. School Resource Officer Brian Turpen led the group to the Milwaukee Trail. It was a fun time for the students and staff. Everyone enjoyed the day of fun.
