FAYETTEVILLE – The Fayetteville School was vandalized early Saturday morning.
According to Lawrence County Independent School officials, they were contacted by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department of the vandalism around 3:00 a.m. Saturday morning, after a fire alarm was activated.
The incident remains under investigation by Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department. Anyone with information about the vandalism is asked to contact the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department’s tip line at 812-277-2020 or 812-275-3316.
According to authorities a glass door was shattered, and tires to a near-by vehicle were slashed.
School officials stated a door company was contacted to make repairs.
