Bedford woman arrested after stealing items from Walmart

BEDFORD – According to a probable cause affidavit, on Saturday, at 1:41 p.m. Bedford Police officers were called to Walmart after a report that 51-year-old Deanna Cooper had failed to scan several items at the checkout. 

Store security stopped Cooper as she exited the store.

Police say Cooper failed to pay for 27 items that came to a total of  $94.58 before taxes.

Cooper was issued a summons to appear in Lawrence County Superior Court on May 4th at 10:30 a.m.
