LOOGOOTEE – Firefighters battled a house fire at 2094 State Road 550 South of Loogootee Saturday night.
The call came in around 7:00 p.m. to the Martin County Sheriff’s Department reporting a fully-involved house fire.
Firefighters from Loogootee, Martin County Fire/Rescue, and Shoals Fire Department responded with several fire engines and tankers.
Martin County Sheriff’s Department had State Road 550 closed in both directions for several hours while firefighters battled the blaze.
Firefighters were on the scene of the fire to 12:30 a.m. Sunday morning.
At this time Loogootee fire officials were not available for comment on the cause of the fire or a status on injuries. .
