Two arrested on drug charges

BEDFORD – Two people were arrested after a Bedford Police officer stopped their vehicle early Tuesday morning after recognizing the driver and knowing that driver has a suspended driver’s license.

Dustin Jackson

The officer ran the vehicle license plate and it was owned by and being driven by 25-year-old Dustin Jackson.

The vehicle was stopped on 5th Street.

Jackson told the officer he did not have a driver’s license but was working on getting it back. 

Ruby Bowman

Jackson had a passenger in the his vehicle, 19-year-old Ruby Bowman.

 Both Jackson and Bowman were arrested after police found marijuana, a baggie of crystal meth, and  a glass smoking pipe in the vehicle. 

Both denied the items were theirs.

Bowman was arrested on charges of possession of meth, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

Jackson was arrested on charges of possession of meth and drug paraphernalia.
