Camby man arrested after a short pursuit

CAMBY. – Saturday around 4:30 p.m., an Indiana State Trooper was patrolling on Mann Road in Morgan County when he attempted to stop a 2004 Toyota Tundra at the intersection of Mann and Landersdale roads for a traffic violation.

The driver of the Toyota turned west onto Landersdale Road and yielded to the trooper. The Toyota then accelerated west on Landersdale Road attempting to flee from the trooper for approximately one mile before turning south on Robertson Road and pulling into a residential driveway where the driver was living.

The trooper was able to apprehend the driver who was identified as 33-year-old Roger E. Bell, of Camby. Bell was wanted on an active warrant out of Morgan County. He was also arrested on a felony charge of resisting law enforcement with a vehicle.
