Larry C. Bragg

September 9, 1941 – March 2, 2021

Larry C Bragg, 79, of Bloomington, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at his daughter’s residence in Morgantown surrounded by his family.

Born September 9, 1941, in Sheridan, he was the son of Howard Chester and Pearl (Irick) Bragg.  He married Lola West December 14, 1995, and she preceded him in death February 25, 2010.

He retired from RCA and later enjoyed being a greeter at Walmart.  Larry served his community as a coach when his children were young.  He enjoyed classic cars, car shows, and riding motorcycles.  Larry loved spending time with his grandchildren and eating cookies with his great grandchildren.  He attended Ellettsville House of Prayer.

Larry was a U. S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

Survivors include companion, Terri Barnes of Bloomington; daughters, Marcy Bragg-Wright (Carlos) of Morgantown, Crystal Bragg of Orleans, Alicia Bragg-Knowles (David) of Mitchell, Renee Bragg-Meier (Chris Evans) of Evansville; grandchildren, Lindsay Umphress, Haley Umphress, Brian Umphress, Jr., Hannah Wright, Olivia Wright, Luke Wright, Caitlyn (Shadoe), Bundy, Wynn (Amanda Kimble) Knowles, and Garrett Meier; great-grandchildren, Weston, Alek, and Milly; siblings, Bob Bragg of Garden Grove, California, Lonnie Campbell of Linton; several nieces and nephews

His parents; wife; and siblings, Donna McDade, Linda Levine, Bud Bragg, and Sonny Bragg preceded him in death.

Graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 6, at Cresthaven Memory Gardens with Chaplain Rick Clayton officiating.  Military honors will be accorded by American Legion Post No. 250 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9107.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Chastain Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
