John “Johnny” E. Johnson, III, 23, of Bedford, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2021.
Born March 8, 1997, in Bedford, he was the son of John Johnson, Jr. and Amber (Ritchison) Jones. He enjoyed sports, hunting, fishing, and archery.
Survivors include his mother, Amber Jones, of Bedford; his father, John Johnson, Jr. (Rachel), of Mitchell; the mother of his child, Tamara Mains, of Paoli; his son, Waylon Mains; three brothers, Michael Ritchison, Garrett Jones, and Sean Jones, all of Bedford; grandparents, Doug and Terri Ritchison, of Bedford, Rita Johnson, of Mitchell; great-grandparents, Peggy Ritchison and William “Bill” Crane, both of Bedford; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, John “JJ” Johnson, Sr.; his great-grandfather, Don Ritchison; his great-grandmother, Delores Crane; a sister-in-law, Cecelia Arrowsling Ritchison.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 26th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Crawford Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Friday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
