Obituary: Phyllis “Pat” Stickles

November 24, 1951 – February 12, 2021

Phyllis “Pat” Stickles, 69, of Bedford, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2021.’=

Born November 24, 1951, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Morrell Tucker and Mary (Key) Cummings. She married Ralph “Steve” Stickles on August 24, 1978, and he preceded her in death on June 13, 2019. She retired, after 40 plus years, as the Education Department Coordinator with I.U. Health Bloomington and a member of Bedford Altrusa.

She enjoyed fishing with Steve, spending time with her grandchildren, playing Euchre and dice. She loved to cook and make people laugh.

Survivors include two sons, Clint Stickles, and wife, Chanel, of Bloomington and Logan Stickles, of Bedford; a step-daughter, Christa Fulkerson, and husband, B.J., of Bedford; four grandchildren, Brooklynn Stickles, Beau Badger, Grace and Gabe Fulkerson; a sister, Karen Starr, of MN; her father, Morrell Tucker.

She was preceded in death by her mother and her husband.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 17th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Pat Arthur officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of service on Wednesday at the mortuary.

The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to Lawrence County Altrusa or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
