Bedford Plan Commission Approves Subdivision, Moves Other To Public Hearing

(BEDFORD) – The Bedford Plan Commission approved Charles Hensley request for a minor subdivision at 1809 12th Street.

Brian Nikirk asked several questions about the proposed subdivision where two single-family homes will be built on a 60 X 150 lot.

The lot is located behind the former R Street Grocery where four-unit apartments already exist.

Nikirk wanted to know if the homes will be rented out and if the housing was to be subsidized. Nikirk also had concerns about parking and the hours of construction when these homes will be built.

The homes will be rented out, parking will be limited to two vehicles per unit, and city noise ordinances are in place from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. After his questions were answered he was satisfied with the proposal.

The Plan Commission voted to approve the request.

A request from R & B property for a minor subdivision located at 3315 West 5th Street in Bedford will go on to a public hearing in March. The request is to separate the 4.27 acres into three lots. One of the lots sits where the Re/Max building is located.
