(BEDFORD) – The Bedford Planning Department issued a total of 13 permits for the Month of January with eight permits for new home construction.
There were no Commercial permits issued in the month of January.
Permits issued for the month of January:
- Certificate of Occupancy – 1
- New Residential Construction – 8
- Residential No Inspection- 1
- Residential With Inspection – 2
- Signs – 1
The largest new home construction is a $350,000 construction project of a duplex in the 800 block of Daisy Lane. The contractor for that project is James Wisley Construction.
A duplex is also being constructed by Sure Seal Contractors in the 500 block of 19th Street with a construction cost of $85,000.
There was a total of $681,000 in new home construction for the month of January.
The Planning Department expects construction will start heating up in the spring and summer as the weather clears the way for more projects to be developed.
