Snow Forecast has Shoals and Loogootee Schools Dismissing Classes Early Today

(LOOGOOTEE) – The Loogootee Community Schools and Shoals Community School Corporations will dismiss at 1:00 p.m. today due to incoming weather.

According to the National Weather Service, a quick-moving area of low pressure passing south of Indiana is expected to produce accumulating snowfall across the southern half of the state today.

Snowfall is expected to begin after 2 p.m. Accumulations of 1 to 2 inches will be possible south of I-70 with a lesser amount farther north.

Roadways could become slick and snow-covered, including during the evening rush hours.

Use caution if traveling this afternoon and evening. Be prepared for rapid reductions in visibilities and changeable road conditions.
