(FORT RITNER) – A Bedford man complained of pain after the vehicle he was a passenger in left the roadway and struck a tree Tuesday morning.
According to a Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department police report, 71-year-old Terry Thomas, of Bedford, was traveling south on Fort Ritner Road in a 2001 Kia Sportage.
Thomas told police she was driving when her passenger 77-year-old George Thomas, also of Bedford, said something to her and the next thing she knew her vehicle went off the road and struck a tree.
Terry Thomas refused medical treatment. George Thomas who suffered possible internal injuries was taken by ambulance to IU Health Hospital for treatment.
