Several Fire Departments Respond to Early Morning Fire in Martin County

(SHOALS) – Several fire departments are on the scene of a residential fire in the 7700 Block of Coal Hollow Road south of Shoals, Saturday morning.

The fire was reported a little after 5:30 a.m.

Lost River Fire Department, Shoals Volunteer Fire Department, Martin County Fire Rescue, Martin County Ambulance Service, and Martin County Sheriff’s Department responded to the blaze.

Several tankers were called to the scene due to no fire hydrants in the remote area, which make it difficult for fire personnel to access water.

Around 6:30 a.m. an additional request for manpower was requested and more firefighters and tankers responded to the scene.
