Two Jackson Creek Middle School Students Organize Food Drive For Food Pantry

(BLOOMINGTON) – Two Jackson Creek Middle School 8th grade students, Roman Ross and Eli Wetzel, organized a non-perishable food drive to benefit a local food pantry, Monroe County United Ministries.

With the generosity of other students and families, and along with the Builders Club,

Jackson Creek Middle School students collected more than 300 pounds of food.

If you would like to donate to Monroe County United Ministries, donations can be dropped off Monday-Friday, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. and on Wednesdays until 4 p.m. If a delivery can’t be made during these times, contact the Ministries about an alternate delivery time. For a large food drive, officials can often pick up your donations at the collection site. Contact Madison Silvers at 812-339-3429 x18 to make arrangements.

Monroe County United Ministries is located next to Mills Pool and Tri-North Middle School at 827 West 14th Court.
