(BEDFORD) – A Bedford woman was arrested on public intoxication and other charges on New Year’s Day.
Bedford Police officers arrested 43-year-old Shannon Rishforth, of 709 J St., on charges of criminal trespass, criminal mischief and public intoxication.
According to a probable cause affidavit, at 2:54 a.m. officers went to Indiana Steel and Engineering after a report of a woman on the northside of the building next to a door.
When police arrived they found Rishforth with a shovel in her hands. She was repeatedly hitting the door with the shovel. Police say Rishforth was intoxicated. Rishforth was previously issued a no trespass order from the property.
Rishforth was arrested.
